At COSMO we have kept the original cinema seating but these days our team of highly trained chefs are the ones putting on the entertainment for our guests, showcasing their skills with our live cooking stations.

Watch them whip up everything from delicate pastries to roast gammon and turkey, or simmer dishes of aromatic curries with hot naan and succulent chutneys on the side for an authentic all you can eat buffet experience.

COSMO Derby offers food from around the world: Chinese, Indian, Italian, Japanese or Thai. Or if you fancy some traditional British food, we have you covered for that, too.

The many regions in China make up an incredible mix of delicious dishes. The variety is in the many different ways of cooking: stir-fried, steamed, stewed. And the seasoning: herbs and spices make the food taste like heaven. There are so many different combinations of flavours.  

It’s impossible for a Chinese foodie to pick one dish — you want to taste them all! And that’s where we come in. With our Chinese buffet, you can try them all. We have beef dishes, chicken dishes, vegetarian dishes, seafood, tasty noodles and versatile rice — and they’re all absolutely delicious.

COSMO Authentic World Kitchen is one of the best places to eat in Derby. If you’re a seafood lover, enjoy fresh king prawns, salmon and scallops grilled by expert teppanyaki chefs in true Japanese buffet style. Or enjoy a delicious steak, seasoned and cooked sizzling before your eyes on an iron griddle to seal in their flavour.

Perhaps the spicy aromas will lead you to our Thai, Chinese or Indian buffets. While the pizzas in our continental food buffet are authentically cooked in wood-fired ovens. 

The hardest thing will be choosing from this tempting array, but you can always head to our ‘tasting kitchen’, where we’ve created mini portions of all your favourite dishes. 

Finally, finish your meal with a scrumptious dessert. Bite-sized portions are also available here, but you might prefer to stick to an indulgent regular size. And don’t forget to refresh yourself with our large selection of hot, cold, alcoholic and soft drinks.

Do you have wheelchair access at COSMO?

What beer do you sell?

We have an extensive drinks menu selection to choose from including beers from around the world, Birra Poretti, Asahi, Corona, Tsingtao, Cobra and Peroni! As well as pints of San Miguel and Carlsberg Pilsner.  

Is COSMO halal? 

Unfortunately, our food has not been halal certified. However, some of our chefs do source halal meat, so please speak to the manager on the day of your visit who will be able to advise you further.
